HOUSE RESOLUTION



2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate David Dato on the occasion 
4of his retirement as Chief of the Wauconda Fire District; and


5 WHEREAS, David Dato began his career as a volunteer 
6firefighter with the Wauconda Fire District in 1978; he became 
7a full-time Fireman and Paramedic with the Fire District in 
81984; in 1992, he became Chief of the Wauconda Fire District; 
9and


10 WHEREAS, David Dato has served in many capacities with the 
11organization since becoming a member, including Firefighter, 
12EMT, Paramedic, Dive Master, Director of Fire Prevention, 
13Lieutenant, Captain, and Chief; and


14 WHEREAS, David Dato was selected to be Illinois Chief of 
15the Year in 2010; and


16 WHEREAS, David Dato has served on the Illinois Terrorism 
17Task Force since 2000 and is currently the Co-Chair of the Task 
18Force's Communications Committee; he has also served as 
19Chairman of the Lake County Emergency Telephone System Board 
20since 1993; and

1 WHEREAS, David Dato serves as a model of hard work, 
2integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of 
3Illinois; therefore, be it


4 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
5NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
6congratulate David Dato on the occasion of his retirement and 
7wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and be 
8it further


9 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to David Dato as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
